Company History

On November 1, 2001, Mayo Shattuck was appointed president of Constellation Energy Group 's and CEO. Then, in July 2002 he was elected to be President of the Board. A Fortune 200 company, Constellation Energy owns energy-related businesses include wholesale power marketing and generation of commercial businesses located in North America, and a power utility that serves the central part of Maryland, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company.

Before signing with Constellation Energy, Mr. Shattuck served as Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Banc. During his tenure at Deutsche Banc, May also served as Global Head of Private Banking and Global Head of Investment Banking.

From 1991 to 1997, Mayo Shattuck served as President and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Alex. Brown Inc., a company which merged in September 1997 with Bankers Trust. For the next two years, May served as Vice President of Bankers Trust Corp., which later merged with Deutsche Bank in 1999.

Today, Mayo Shattuck serves as Director of Gap Incorporated, is Chairman of its Audit and Finance, is Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Capital One Financial Corporation, and Director of Capital One May chairs the Finance Committee for the Edison Electric Institute, and is a member of the board. Also at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Board and Board of Nuclear Energy, Institute of Directors.

May is a member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford School 's Business and member of the Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins Medicine. He is a member of the Board of the Walters Art Museum and Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Personal History

Born in 1954 in Massachusetts, Mayo Shattuck went to Williams College where he earned his bachelor's degree. This was followed by an MBA degree Arjay Miller Scholar and a University of Stanford. The University of Maryland Baltimore County Mayo Shattuck honored with an honorary degree of Doctor of Public Service.

Mayo Shattuck is an avid golfer who likes to play every year at the Constellation Energy Golf Classic. Mayo has even received a rating in the "Top 10 Golf CEO" list released by Golf Digest. His is married to Molly Shattuck, who appears on the blog of professional cheerleaders, is a busy mother of three, and a supporter of local charity.
